A multidisciplinary exhibition exploring queer bodies, identities, and visibility.

Queer Skin

QUEER SKIN is a multidisciplinary exhibition and event format hosted by Kottilesben e.V. in Berlin in 2025 that explores queer identities, bodies, and notions of beauty beyond normative standards. Bringing together visual art, fashion, performance, music, and dialogue, the project creates an immersive space to engage with themes such as body transformation, external labeling, intimacy, and rebellion. Alongside the exhibition, the program includes a panel talk on queer art and visibility, an interdisciplinary runway show, and an after-party that extends the experience into a shared moment of celebration and community.

As a founding member of Kottilesben Lisa-Sophie Kempke was involved in the conceptual development of QUEER SKIN, co-curated the “Artists on the Wall”, and photographically documented the event. Working collaboratively with the team, she contributed to shaping the exhibition context and visually capturing the artworks, performances, runway moments, and the overall atmosphere of the night—from the exhibition space to the collective energy on the dance floor. In addition, she designed the poster for the event, contributing to the project’s visual identity beyond the exhibition space.
